How we take an app on
If your app runs on Prostack Cito as it is, we move it for free: we copy it across, you check it on a preview URL, and DNS moves when you say so. If it needs something custom, an engineer looks at it first and quotes for the move.
Audit
You run the readiness audit in your own agent and get a summary of every finding. If you want our view, you send it to us.
Fit
The audit, and then an engineer, work out whether the app runs on Prostack Cito as it is or needs a custom setup. That decides what the move involves and whether it costs anything.
It runs on Prostack Cito
A standard web app that Prostack Cito, our own hosting platform, runs as it is. That covers most of what agents write.
- Typically
- Next.js, Express, NestJS, Remix, Laravel, or anything with a Dockerfile, with MySQL and Redis on the server or a managed Postgres database elsewhere.
- The move
- Our usual managed migration. We copy it across, a Postgres database stays with its provider, and you check it before DNS moves.
- Cost of the move
- Free, with no crossover billing.
Custom applications and environments
Anything that depends on services Cito doesn’t run. Some of it we’ll take on, and some we won’t.
- Typically
- A backend inside a hosted platform, sign-in, storage or realtime on someone else’s service, dozens of serverless functions, or a stack built around one cloud’s own services.
- The move
- An engineer reviews the audit and the repo, then talks it through with you, including which parts would stay with other platforms and who looks after them.
- Cost of the move
- Quoted if we take it on. If we’re the wrong host, we’ll say so.
Move
We copy the app, its files and its database onto the new server. You check it on its own preview URL before anything points at it, including a real sign-in and a test payment if it takes them.
Once you’re happy, we schedule a go-live, with our team on hand to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Run
From here it’s ours to watch. You get a named account manager, 24/7 support from our in-house team, and a Cito login so you, or your agent, can keep deploying.

Questions about the move
Does it cost anything to move an app to Prostack?
Moving an app that runs on Prostack Cito as it is costs nothing, with no crossover billing. If it needs a custom setup, an engineer reviews the audit and the repo first, then quotes for the move or tells you Prostack is the wrong host.
Does my domain or email move to Prostack?
Your domain only moves to Prostack if you choose. You can transfer it to us, with no downtime, at any point. We recommend Cloudflare for DNS. Prostack Cito doesn’t host mailboxes, but your app can send outbound mail from the server.
How do I check the app before it goes live?
Every app Prostack moves gets its own preview URL before anything points at it. Sign in, click through and, if it takes payments, make a test one, then tell us when to move DNS.
When does the move happen?
Prostack schedules the go-live with you, with our team on hand to make sure everything goes smoothly. We typically do these between Monday and Thursday.
